Job Description

The CompanyCEVaC Limited is an Importer, Exporter and Distributor of Industrial & Commercial Insulation Fixings, Fasteners and Ductwork Accessories for the Building, Heating and Ventilating industries. We sell throughout the UK and in many Export markets. Formed in 1993, this small, friendly, family business now has its office and warehouse in Billingshurst, West Sussex. Continuing growth of the business means that we need another full-timer in our busy office. We have free parking and the Mainline railway station is only a 5 minute walk away.Applicants should be aware of company policy in regard to mobile phones, which is that, except in emergencies, staff must restrict any personal use of their mobile phones/devices to their lunch break.The JobThis is a full-time, permanent vacancy. We require a flexible person who wants to work in this commercial office where we deal with the cycle of enquiries, processing quotations and sales orders, invoicing, stock control and purchase orders and supplier invoices. Hours are from 9.00am until 5.30pm, Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch. The position attracts four weeks’ paid holiday in addition to bank holidays.The successful candidate would be processing quotations, orders, etc. in Sage, dealing with telephone calls, and carrying out all normal general office tasks when not dealing with the various aspects of the accounts function.Starting salary will be in the region of £22-£24,000 p.a. depending on qualifications and experience. More could be available for an exceptional candidate. In addition to basic salary, we pay a discretionary Performance Related Bonus twice a year.We are a small, friendly office of eight people, so flexibility is required in covering work within other areas of the business, so all round experience would be very useful.The Person:

  • Flexible and a willing team player, but able to work alone without supervision.
  • Organised and methodical, with close attention to detail.
  • Able to demonstrate a solid work ethic.
  • Good communication skills essential for dealing with customers/suppliers.
  • Good time-keeper and reliable.
  • Positive and mature attitude, with friendly and helpful personality.
  • Skill Sets:
  • Bookkeeping experience and/or qualification useful.
  • Numerate and Computer literate.
  • Excel and Sage 50 Accounts experience desirable, but training can be given.
  • Confident telephone manner important.
  • Word and Outlook experience useful.
