We support pupils with SEND who are not attending school for a number of reasons including Mental Health issues, or lack of a suitable school place. Weaim to prepare them for a return to mainstream or special school. We tutor pupils of all ages face-to-face within school times, and in a range of settings including homes, schools, community centres and out in the community. Our tuition is completely pupil-focused and can target developing early learning, following anacademic curriculum, providing emotional support or developing life skills. We need a wide range of tutors to support our pupils to meet their specific needs and ensure good progress. We work very hard to match each tutor with pupils who can most benefit fromtheir skills and expertise.About Our Young PersonWe are looking for a tutor to support an 8-year-old boy at his home in Biggleswade. He is autistic and also has mild learning difficulties. This can cause him to have misunderstandings about social interactions, but he is eager to make friends. He is creativeand detail-oriented and enjoys drawing, colouring and working on maths tasks. We would love to have someone that can structure his learning around these interests.Emotional regulation is an essential skill we look for a tutor for this pupil, as this will help him develop his relationships with his peers. An attentive tutor who can help him identify his triggers for his anxiety would be ideal. Demands are somethingthat he may struggle with and the tutor will be flexible, able to think on the spot and have a calm and cool presence.About you:
