This position is for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to work on the Male Acuteward which is opening May 2023. The Male Acute ward will support up to 16 service users.The ethos of our service will be about assessing and treating service users in the least restrictive environment and planning for discharge in a robust and timely fashion. Providing assessment and treatment of occupational needs, under the supervision of a senior OT. Promoting the importanceof enabling people to do the things they want, need or are expected to do to support them being well in life.Responsible to:Occupational Therapist (Band 7) clinical supervisor, Director of Occupational Therapy and Hospital Manager.Hours:40 hoursLocation:Male Acute Ward, Cygnet Bierley, Bierley Lane, Bradford, BD4 6AD.5 reasons why you should make an application today

The Successful Candidate should be/have:

• A registered Occupational Therapist with the HCPC (Health Care Professions Council)
• Experienced in the field of mental health desired
• An understanding of Occupational Therapy process/interventions and can take a hands on approach
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Passionate about student education
