Job Description

Salary: £34,514 - £51,179Type: Full-Time, PermanentStart: ASAP!My client, an outstanding, Independent Specialist Provision in Kent, is seeking a confident, committed, and forward thinking teacher to join their team.The school strives to improve the life chances of the students they work with. Going above and beyond, they set high expectations and work together with staff, the local community and external agencies to improve outcomes.You will be ahard working, caring, positive and motivated professional who will ideally have experience of working with children with SEMH and associated learning and behaviour challenges.They are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher, starting in February 2024 (or as soon as is possible!). You will nurture, teach and inspire a small group of SEMH pupils aged between 9 -17 or 17 - 25.Experience of working within a specialist provisionwill be an advantage but mainstream colleagues are extremely welcome to apply. You will need to be calm, flexible, resilient and most of all loving.Ideal candidates will:

  • hold a recognised teaching qualification
  • be resilient, kind, patient and have a good sense of humour
  • have experience of teaching pupils with special educational needs in either a mainstream or specialist setting
  • be flexible and keen to learn (growth mindset)
  • be able to differentiate their approach for pupils with a range of abilities
  • have excellent interpersonal skills with students, parents, professionals and other adults
  • be an effective team player with proven ability to coordinate and direct the work of classroom support staff
  • be passionate about making every day count
