Job Description

THE BUSINESSOur client is recruiting multiple Assembly Operators for their factory based on the Belmont Industrial Estate in County Durham. You will be working for a family owned local manufacturer who have 20+ years experience in their industry. The business suppliesvarious joinery products for the UK construction industry. They are a forward-thinking business who puts sustainability first. They work with established names in the Private and Public sectors. They provide a strong network of training and support. They willwork with you to develop your skill set and invest in your personal development.THE ROLE
  • You will be assembling high quality door sets
  • You will be working in a busy manufacturing environment
  • You will be using a variety of hand tools and machines
  • You will work to specific instructions and follow SOPs
  • This is a physical role and involves a lot of lifting, walking and handling heavy stock
  • You will be quality checking components and ensuring work meets desired standards
THE PERSONYou must be physically fit and have the ability to lift and handle stock in a safe manner. You will have experience of working within the manufacturing industry and self-motivated. Tasks will include
  • Good attention to detail with the desire to learn new things.
  • Previous woodworking experience is desirable
  • Have a good eye for detail and be able to read drawings
  • Regular use of tape measure is key for this role
  • Previous experience of using machine work would be ideal
THE PACKAGE
  • Monday to Thursday 6am - 4.30pm
  • Overtime on a Friday (paid at time and half)
  • £9.50 p/hr. (Pay parity with permanent workers from day one).
  • With training and mastery in role there is opportunity to transition through pay grades.
