Job Title: Production OperativeSalary: £21000 per annumLocation: Currently Outskirts of Burgess Hill but relocating to Uckfield in AprilHours: 35 hours per week, 9am to 4pm with a 30-minute lunch breakBenefits: 20 days holiday per annum, company pensionWe are thrilled to be working exclusively with an exciting client, based currently on the outskirts of Burgess Hill who are seeking a Warehouse and Production Operative to join their busy and friendly team.Although the role is currently in Burgess Hill, the Company are relocating to a larger premises in Uckfield in April.You must have your own transport as both locations are rural.This is an exciting role for a candidate, ideally with previous experience within a production environment, to join a growing company.The Warehouse and Production Operative will have a varied role including production of the companys products using a variety of machinery, building packaging, maintaining machines, and packaging goods. As such the ideal candidate will have organisational skills as well as being comfortable lifting medium to heavy packages.Duties and Responsibilities:

Use a variety of filling machinery to package products ready for retail

These machines will need to be stripped down, set up and cleaned between production runs.

Taking the lead for the maintenance of these machines

Dispensing and blending of powder recipes in line with the correct mixes provided

Receiving and sending deliveries of raw materials

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, tidiness and other quality standards (including food hygiene) at all times whilst working

Prepare product packaging (e.g construct cardboard boxes and label packaging.)

Willingness to undertake repetitive work

Working reliably, accurately and efficiently in carrying out all assigned tasks and processes

Ability to retain and maintain up to date product knowledge

Adapting to the day to day needs of the company
