Recently qualified tax professionals, are you tired of being just a number Do you want to make a bigger impact in a smaller team Are you seeking a role with more autonomy My client, a reputable accountancy firm in Belfast, is poised towards growth and is looking to build out their tax team. I am looking to speak with CTA recently qualified tax consultants seeking to broaden their skills and tax knowledge across multiple tax heads.You will have the opportunity to work on a wide-ranging client base (domestic and international) who are mainly made up Hedge Funds and Financial Services institutions.This is an interesting opportunity for someone who would like a good balance between compliance and advisory. You will have the support of senior management in a close-knit friendly environment.The Role:Your duties/responsibilities will vary but may consist of the following:• Manage and support tax compliance reviews as appropriate, monitoring the implementation of recommendations.• Provision of advice to clients on tax planning opportunities and work with senior management in a variety of consultancy projects.• Proactively liaise and build effective working relationships with firm staff across all disciplines (Audit, Corporate Finance, etc.) to facilitate and support the Tax Department.• Researching tax legislation and case law.• Manage billing and fee collection with a portfolio of clients.• Delegate and support trainees and more junior members of staff.• Maintain a cooperative relationship with tax authorities and all relevant stakeholders.• Participate in and contribute to client presentations.The Person:• Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) required.• ACA/ACCA desirable.• Prior experience in a practice environment.• Financial Services experience a plus (not essential)• Strong technical competence.• Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.• Confident self-starter with the ability to act on own initiative.• Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with flexibility and adaptability required.• Strong commercial acumen.
