Job Description

DescriptionJob Summary:Primary responsibilities will entail the following: Level III desk-side endpoint & application support; primary escalation contact for end-user Desktop Support Engineers; Windows, MacOS, and software updates / patch remediation; perform R&D on desktop; recommend & implement hardware process improvements/automationopportunities; leads enterprise technical projects & dept. initiatives, providing technical & procedural guidance Principal Accountabilities:

  • Provides expert level desk side, application, and OS support to all CME staff,
  • Ensuring software updates and patches are completed within standard SLAs.
  • Participates in technical documentation and identify areas that need new or updated documentation
  • Provides administrative functions including the development and enforcement of procedural & technical documentation, IT policy recommendations, & hardware asset management.
  • Provides technical guidance to Desktop Support & helpdesk staff in resolving support issues.
  • Identify and improve existing technology and processes.
  • Work with vendors to manage and troubleshoot application related issues.
  • Participates in R&D of new technology and areas such as self-service/automation.
  • Problem ownership for escalated issues
Skills & Software Requirements:
  • Subject matter expert with Windows OS; strong understanding of Mac OSX;
  • Solid understanding of SCCM and Windows Update process and JAMF (essential)
  • Mac scripting knowledge and previous experience
  • In-depth knowledge of end user devices and the associated technology to support end user workstations
  • Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
  • Ability to work on your own to successfully resolve issues while updating management and colleagues from teams around the globe
  • Problem solving and the ability to identify potential problems in advance and proposing solution

  • Proven and strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • High level critical thinking skills
  • Positive attitude, self-starter with strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on your own as the key escalation point during European morning hours
Formal Education & Certification
  • A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent is a plus
