Job Description

DescriptionCME Group have recently entered into a long-term strategic partnership with Google Cloud that will transform global derivatives markets, by migrating our technology infrastructure to Google Cloud (GCP) and becoming a fully cloud native company. There has neverbeen a more exciting time to join and become part of the journey and learn new skills, attain GCP certification and innovate in the cloud. This varied role is a great opportunity to accelerate the delivery and enhance the quality of the CME Enterprise Data Flows teams. Its the perfect time to join our data engineering team as we innovate, design, build and release a portfolio of apps and servicesin Google Cloud, using serverless technologies and patterns, at huge scale and transactional volumes, to help transform our business. We want engineers who are creative, smart, pragmatic, motivated and collaborate well with the teams they work with. As a team member you have responsibility to develop and drive the teams testing mindset and approach throughout the entire development and deploymentlifecycle, participating in PR reviews, pair programming and mentoring. This is a fantastic role for anyone who wants to broaden their skills, to design and develop new tools and frameworks in different languages. Essential criteria:

  • Creative mindset, is proactive & able to build their own tools or re-use open-source tools for solutions
  • Curious & courageous approach, willing to challenge the status quo and think outside the box for solutions
  • Experience in test automation solution delivery and building innovative technical solutions
  • Experience in designing & building automated continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines
  • Experience working closely with application teams to improve their testing and automation approaches and driving continuous technical improvements
Desirable:
  • Working in an Agile or DevOps culture
  • Experience working with cloud platforms
  • Experience of, or good knowledge of manual testing approaches & techniques
  • Server side experience and event driven messaging technologies
  • Non-functional test experience

  • Working with teams who have a focus on innovation and embracing early adoption of practices and technologies e.g. Blue Green deployments & canary testing, ephemeral infrastructure, Contract testing with PACT, automated resiliency and performance testing,GitOps, container adoption for Continuous integration and more.
