Job Description

Were looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Contracts Management team based in Northern Ireland.Location: Northern Ireland, Belfast - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office requiredContract: Permanent - full time – flexible hours available if desired, just let us knowSalary: £45,000 - £52,000 per annum plus car or car allowance and benefits.What will you be responsible forAs a Senior Quantity Surveyor, youll be working within the Contracts Management team, supporting them in leading and managing the commercial team.Your day to day will include:

  • Lead, mentor and manage the commercial team to help guide and support to the operational teams to assess and minimise cost and to understand measurement and reporting requirements for claiming cost and value – including change control and variations
  • Assess, review, communicate, mitigate & log commercial and contractual risks and provide weekly, monthly, and ad hoc commercial reports including monthly CVRs and manage key relationships with our client to deliver successful outcomes for all stakeholders
  • Prepare cost estimates for special projects and measure works carried out and reconcile to Target Cost, optimise cashflow ensuring payments are received on time and prepare monthly and final applications for payment, including measurement and supportingdocumentation
  • Assessment and payment of sub-contract applications and onboard new sub-contractors and interrogate cost reports and interpret financial data reconciling cost and value
  • Develop a diverse and rounded team to support succession planning and talent development in line with the business objective to have staff professionally recognised through an appropriate institute (e.g. RICS, CICES etc) and promote the wellbeing of yourteam and ensure that an inclusive workplace where diversity of thought, backgrounds and experience is actively encouraged and achieved.

  • Have strong Quantity Surveyor experience.
  • Have excellent IT skills including the use of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.
  • Have experience in a client facing role.
  • Hold a driving licence.
