Job Description Morgan McKinley are delighted to be working with a leading food wholesaler in the search for an Accountant to join their Finance Team in Cork. Accountant - Cork City - PermanentMorgan McKinley are delighted to be working with a leading food wholesaler in the search for an Accountant to join their Finance Team in Cork. In this role, you will report to the Senior Management Accountant. You will be involved with the management and financial accounting processes and assist with monitoring and implementing accounting controls, in addition to this you will have exposure acrossall business units and engage with key stakeholders. Ideal professional will be a fully qualified accountant, an individual who can work independently and is eager to work closely with the business. Responsibilities:• Preparing and analysing month end accounts. • Review monthly reconciliations. • Preparation of tax computations and complete the quarterly VAT returns. • Complete monthly payroll. • Liaise with external auditors. • Assist with any ad-hoc project activities. Requirements:• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Excellent attention to detail and strong technical skills. • Strong problem solving and analytical skills. • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle high volume tasks to a deadline. • Ability to communicate well and build strong rapport with the senior leadership team.
