Job Description

Help shape the future of aerospace Product Quality ControllerEarn £30,365.40 rising to £33,566.00Our client is one of the worlds largest manufacturers of aerostructures for commercial airplanes, defence platforms, and business/regional jets.Spirit recently acquired Northern Irelands premier aerospace company and is ramping up its award-winning, composite wing production for an industry-leading, commercial aircraft programme.RESPONSIBLE TO: Product Assurance Manager Immediate requirements exist for suitably qualified and experienced applicants for the above Positions for a 12 to 18 month contract.PURPOSE OF THE JOB Carrying out Inspection, Quality Control and Quality Assurance FunctionsEnsuring product compliance with design specification, customer and approving authorityrequirements and regulationsProviding instruction and advice to operators as and when requiredMonitoring the Delegated Operator SchemeWorking flexibly in groupsWriting technical reports to highlight drawing, process and tooling anomalies to instigateinvestigation and corrective actionCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSApplicants must have completed a recognised apprenticeship and have a minimum of 2 years relevant post apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing/assembly or tooling environmentAn ONC or equivalent qualification is desirable. However applicants with lesserqualifications and additional relevant knowledge and experience will be consideredThe ability to interpret drawings and specifications, and to communicate effectively isEssentialCandidates must be able to demonstrate a knowledge of Company manufacturing and assembly practices, requirements and standardsCandidates must be familiar with quality control requirementsESSENTIAL CRITERIAAerospace ExperienceWhile youre on assignment with Spirit, well offer an attractive package of pay and benefits including a 36-hour working week, generous holiday allowance, attractive overtime rates and shift allowances.CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that sufficient detail is provided on the CV to demonstrate how the applicant meets essential job criteria, as this alone will be used for vetting purposes.
