One of our key priorities is to ask people to see sight loss differently, reversing inaccurate perceptions and changing public behaviours so everyone expectsequal participation from people with sight loss and the creation of a fully accessible society.What we are looking forA position has become available for a Product Coordinator to promote and support independent living for people living with sight loss in Northern Ireland and across the UK.This is a full time role, offered on a fixed term contract of 9 months (with the possibility of extension).Please note that while this is a hybrid working role, some travel will be involved to attend events within Northern Ireland.What youll be doingThis is an exciting opportunity to work in the RNIB Retail Team. You will support severely sight impaired and sight impaired individuals. You will empower people living with sight loss to live independently by providing with them with product informationand sharing knowledge on other services and support that is available.What youll need to succeed in this roleYou will be an effective communicator, being able to connect with visually impaired customers and internal teams through a variety of channels.As you will be providing advice and demonstrating on a number of our products, the ability to maintain a broad base of knowledge across multiple topics is also essential. An already existing knowledge of our products and technologies is beneficial, but notessential.You will also have excellent organisation skills, not only to be able to coordinate your workload, but also to plan and carry out training or demonstrations at events.This could be an ideal role for someone from a retail, customer service or administration background, who prides themselves on building effective relationships.
