Job Description

Principal Software EngineerWe are recruiting for a Principal Software Engineer to work with a Multinational global payments business. In this role you will be responsible for the design, development and management of the processing gateway as well as other server side products, you will do this by using the best tech stack available.You will be given the authority to use different technologies to get the job done correctly.The company: This brand helps organisations by giving them personalised payment solutions, allowing developers of business management solutions to accept payments through their own personalised systems.

    • The role:As a principal Software Engineer for this organisation you will:
  • Develop an in depth knowledge of merchant and partner needs, problems and business expectations through high quality innovative solutions
  • Inspire and motivate your team to go above and beyond
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure the core deliverables are technically accurate
  • Identify and improve critical activities and tasks on projects on a regular basis
  • Assist with software deployment- to ensure the safe and correct role out of projects
    • What you need:
  • BSc or MSc or equivalent in Computer Science or related field or commercial experience of developing in C#, Java or any other OO
  • Essential experience in product development
  • Experience with multiple Design Patterns, Refactoring, OO Design and related areas
  • MUST have experience leading a team (Small to medium)
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis
  • Must have experience working with a Lean Kanban environment or an AGILE SCRUM

  • Experience as a Principal software engineer using front end web development skills (HTML, JavaScript etc…)
  • Experience in asynchronous messaging systems.
