Job Description

Payroll Administrator / Permanent opportunity / Office based / Competitive salaryReed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a successful business based in the North of the city and are recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to join their finance team. This is an exciting new opportunity due to growth.The role is full time, office based, and the hours of work are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday.The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for the administration and processing of payroll for the Company by ensuring that each stage of the payroll process is actioned effectively and efficiently. The Payroll Administrator will ensure that deadlinesare met for both weekly and monthly payroll and will ensure that accurate information is provided. The Payroll Administrator will act as the key point of contact for employees, answering any queries as required.Key Responsibilities will include:To work as part of a team undertaking administrative, advisory and payroll duties to ensure that all procedures are completed to a high standardTo ensure weekly and monthly payroll are processed within the required timeframes, liaising with relevant teams on payroll mattersTo conduct pay review analysis before processing reports for BACS paymentTo ensure employee records are accurate and up to dateTo ensure all payroll requirements and procedures relating to payroll are being followedTo reconcile employee payroll records ensuring that all new starters are added to the payroll system, leavers are removed from the system at the correct timeTo have a good knowledge of all Statutory Legislation relating to payroll, SSP, SMP, SPP and holiday entitlement calculationsManage standards, processes and controls ensuring compliance with company policies and proceduresTo carry out any other duties related to the roleSkills & Experience:Applicants will have 5 GCSEs including Maths & English Grade C or equivalentApplicants will have experience working within a high volume payroll remit and all associated administrationApplicants will have experience working with Sage Payroll software as well as MS ExcelGeneral Attributes:Candidates will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, will have the ability to process a high volume of detailed work in a short time frame and will have a meticulous, systematic approach to problem solving.Get in Touch:If you are looking for a new permanent opportunity in a happy and stable team environment, and have the relevant skills and experience, please get in touch with Lizzy Lyons on and send a cv to
