Job Description

Paralegal - Real Estate - BelfastDWF is now seeking to recruit a Paralegal to join the Real Estate team in our Belfast office.Our Real Estate Practice Group deal with all aspects of real estate legal issues, including high-value acquisitions and disposals, portfolio management, development (including regeneration projects) and the creation and treatment of all kinds of investments. We act for landowners, occupiers, developers, funders, contractors and professionals across the sector. We also work with landlords and tenants within the institutional, telecoms, corporate, retail and public sectors - including education and local government.The Paralegal we are looking to recruit will act as an extension to the fee earning team and support the operational functioning of the Real Estate and Real Estate Litigation team, providing a high standard of service delivery to both internal and external clients, in line with best practice.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Legal support work to the Real Estate and Real Estate Litigation team in all matters and ensuring matters are progressing as efficiently and accurately as possible.
  • Preparing weekly update reports for clients and dealing with clients on a regular basis to provide updates or obtain information.
  • Managing datarooms for transactional matters.
  • Under supervision, run own transactional files from initiation to completion.
  • Dealing with access agreements, registrations, wayleaves, lease renewals etc.
  • Drafting legal documents and standard forms.
  • Administrative tasks such as performing Land Registry searches (at both HM Land Registry and the Land Registers of Northern Ireland), obtaining documents from our clients portals.
  • Completing of registration formalities at HM Land Registry and the Land Registers of Northern Ireland.
  • Under supervision drafting SDLT Returns.
  • Legal research.
  • Proof reading.
