Role Overview:The MSSQL Database Administrator is responsible for activities relating to the build maintenance and operation of infrastructure platforms concentrating on MSSQL databases. You will apply your technical knowledge and social skills to leverage our establishedset up and drive future improvements in the performance of our technology infrastructure platforms ensuring that we are increasing the quality and reliability of the platform with particular attention to optimizing its capacity. You are a recognized technicalexpert and may lead a team of technologists helping each team member with their development listening and coaching them to be their best for our clients. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance and direction in area of MSSQL infrastructure technology specialization to support platforms and sectors
• Apply the discipline of engineering to deliver critical MSSQL DB platform support and optimize platform/sector functionality
• Fully understand support and define platform and areas supported to minimize risks and impact to customers
• Review issues and escalations as well as resolve production problems ensuring that status and technical matters are reported to management in a timely manner
• Utilize skillset to provide support trouble-shooting and performance-tuning within MSSQL DB technical domain
• Support the creation and implementation of system improvements that will improve performance and reliability while maintaining controls
• Work closely with our App partners for new projects from initiation to production cutover. Identify cost saving opportunities & implement creative DB solutions for clients (collaborate with Infrastructure Delivery team as needed)

Qualifications:

• Experience in Database Administrator role
• Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
• Project Management experience
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices
• Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
• Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
• Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
• Proven track record of operational process change and improvement
