Job Description

Chartered Mechanical Engineer Are you a chartered mechanical engineer looking for a new challenge Do you have experience in designing and developing efficient and innovative solutions for various processes and products Do you want to work on exciting and impactful public sector constructionprojects that improve the lives of millions of peopleIf you answered yes to these questions, then you might be the perfect candidate for our consultancy firm. We are a leading provider of engineering services for public sector clients, ranging from schools and hospitals to highways and railways.As a chartered mechanical engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing full lifecycle product development, from research and development to design and manufacture, through to installation and commissioning.
  • Designing systems and components that meet the needs and requirements of the clients and the end-users.
  • Conducting experiments methodically, analysing data and interpreting results
  • Improving production processes, such as those in large oil refineries, or services within buildings.
  • Implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety and reliability.
  • Collaborating with other engineers, project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the projects.
  • Preparing reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest developments and innovations in the field of mechanical engineering.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
  • A professional engineering license or chartered status from a recognised institution.
  • At least five years of relevant work experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the public sector or construction industry.
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality and cost-effective engineering solutions.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • A strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • A willingness to travel and work on site as required.
