IT Support TechnicianNewtownardsPermanent - £24,000 per annumREED Technology are delighted to partner with an excellent charitable organisation who are seeking to add an IT Support Technician to their team.The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical IT support to staff and management to help them resolve software and hardware problems with desktop, PCs, laptops, servers, firewall, routers and switchesResponsibilities: Support all staff in regard to current IT systems; Support existing servers running vmware 6.7 and Windows Server 2019 Rebuild PCs for recycling with new staff; Support the I.T. Manager with regard to network installation and troubleshooting; Ensure the smooth running of all ICT systems, including anti-virus and encryption software, print services and email provision; Ensure the security of data from internal and external attack; To routinely test the backup and restore applications for servers, databases. To support maintenance and further development of the AMH intranet site. Work as part of a I.T. helpdesk facility to provide end users with appropriate I.T. support and advice; Assist the I.T. Manager with mobile phone support for all staff; Control and resolve crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems; Assist the I.T. Manager in fault rectification during high demand situations; Suggest/implement improvements and raise awareness of areas of concern in relation to support/business processes or procedures; Keep current with the latest technologies and determine what new technology solutions and implementations will meet business and system requirements; Schedule upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems; Support quality improvement processes including Investors in People Support compliance with all aspects of legislative and organisational Health & Safety standards and requirements, and; Adhere to all company policies and procedures.Essential Criteria Knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019, Windows 8 and 10, in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office 2013 or later Configuration and troubleshooting Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP Proven ability to effectively support and work as a member of team to deliver IT solutions Able to demonstrate a good level of IT literacy The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced pre-employment check via the Access NI Service.If you meet the above criteria and would like to join a fantastic organisation then please contact or on for a confidential discussion.
