Job Description

Reed HR is delighted to support our client a Large Public Sector Organisation based in County Down who wishes to recruit an experienced HR Officer with TUPE experience on a 2-year contract. This is a hybrid role.The role:This is an HR Generalist role which requires a candidate with TUPE experience. You will be the point of contact for daily operational HR issues and also assist the Head of HR & OD with the effective TUPE transfer of staff. You will also assist the Head of Leisurewith the HR elements of the on-going transformation of leisure services, both before and after the transfer. When not required for leisure insourcing and transformation duties you will carry out any of the activities on the generic HR Officer job descriptionwhere you will:

  • Be the day to day operational point of contact for HR issues
  • Assist the Head of HR & OD with the effective TUPE transfer of staff
  • Assist with the HR elements of the on-going transformation of leisure services, both before and after the transfer
  • Assist with determining and populating the new organisational structure for leisure services post transfer
  • Act as the point of contact between individual employees, resolving queries and conducting one to one interview on the TUPE process
  • Attend staff meetings with staff to keep them informed on the progress of the insourcing process
  • Secure TUPE information and prepare a gap analysis of the pay, terms and conditions between employees and their relevant counterparts
  • Prepare relevant operational reports on all insourcing issues to update the Head of HR & OD, CLT and the Project Board
  • Analyse zero hour/casual workers to ascertain if they qualify as employees
  • Assist with planning staff inductions and inducting staff
  • Following transfer, review employee personnel and training records
  • Carry out any of the activities on the generic HR Officer job description when not required for transformation duties
The ideal candidate will have:
  • HR Generalist experirence
  • TUPE transfer experience
  • Experience implementing and advising on a broad spectrum of HR policies
  • Ability to work on own initiative and manage time effectively
  • Previous project management/transformational experience
