Job Description

REED HR Belfast is delighted to be partnering with our client on the recruitment of an HR Generalist to join their team in Belfast on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.The successful candidate will work closely with the HR Business Partner to drive and ensure the successful suite of various HR initiatives and talent strategies. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities including employee relations, engagementand retention, performance management, recruiting, training, total rewards, diversity, data analytics, and general administration.Day to day of the role:

  • Implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, retention, and diversity within the organisation.
  • Lead on employee relation issues, conduct investigations, provide training, prepare documentation, coach employees and managers, and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Support recruiting efforts by identifying top talent and focusing on building bench strength.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to the outsourced managed payroll service and assist line managers with the time and attendance system.
  • Maintain HR databases, manage new start and leaver administration, and conduct inductions.
  • Assist with university relations and collaborate with the HR team to create a positive Co-Op experience.
  • Prepare and deliver communications, presentations, and timely reports on HR initiatives, processes, and events.
  • Undertake other general administrative tasks as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of general HR experience, including employee relations, communications, engagement, analysis, and general HR administration.
  • CIPD qualification.
  • Experience with payroll administration.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
  • High energy and a successful track record in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of UK and Northern Ireland employment laws.
  • Ability to recognise and defuse difficult situations.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to understand data trends and make informed recommendations.
