Job Description

REED HR is delighted to support our Belfast client who wishes to recruit a permanent HR Generalist to join their busy teamWorking as part of a team you will be advising managers to ensure compliance across two local sitesKey ResponsibilitiesResourcing &Induction• Identify resourcing requirements & support Managers with the talent pipeline &succession planning• Oversee the employee induction process &manage new inductions• Ensure probation review meetings are undertaken, addressing issues &feeding back to the HR Manager• Work in partnership with Managers to identify training needs, complete training needs analysis &career development plansEmployee Development• Provide advice &guidance to Managers on managing performance &attend performance management meetings• Work closely with Managers to facilitate & monitor the annual performance reviewEmployee Relations• Managematernity &paternity processes• Manage flexible working requests in line with policy• Provide advice &guidance on employee relations issues e.g. disciplinary/grievance matters &performance• Monitor &managesickness absence &attendance• Oversee the leaver process &conductexit interviewsGeneral• Participate in strategic HR initiatives &department activities/projects• Deliverrecruitment of staff up to management level across both sites. Act as liaison with external agencies &bodies ensuring internal compliance, performance &costsare met. Participate in the induction &onboarding process• Complete Annual Monitoring Report &prepare Article 55 review• Support Managersin deliveringPerformance Management &Capability procedures. Adviseon legislation, policy&best practice• Support Managers with Disciplinary, Grievance &Attendance Management• Effective absence management including timely &accurate updating of absence tracker, actioning sick absence• Act as an Advocate for an open, fair &transparent employment relations environment &equality of opportunity, working in partnership with Trade Union Representatives &Managers• Assistdevelopment &review of employment policies, incorporating changes in legislation, business need &best practice within EmployeeHandbook• SupportHR on delivering &sustaining a programme of employee engagement &wellbeing activity• Manage probation review process, leaver process, family leave &flexible working• Effective delivery & maintenance of Key HR Metrics, providemeaningful information including reports &statistical information to stakeholders• Development of effective training materials associated with local policies with delivery of Training materials to Managers &staff• Update &maintain the Company’s HRIS (Workday)Essential CriteriaMinimum 2 years’ experience at HR Advisor / Business Partnering level within a FMCG /Manufacturing environmentEducation - Minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at Grade C or above including English Language & MathsCIPD Level 3 OR at least 4 years’ relevant experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environmentWorking knowledge of NI employment law & experience of working with UnionsExcellent communication &attention to detailAbility to cope with high volume of varied workExcellent organisational, planning, prioritisation &time management skillsConfidence to liaise appropriately with individuals at all levels within the organisation face to face &remotelyGood IT Skills in MS Office, email, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
