Job Description

Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for a high regarded public sector organisation in Belfast who require a Research Software Engineer-Team Lead on a Full Time Contract available for 24 monthsThe chosen candidate will be responsible for the effective planning and day to day management of activities relating to the delivery of the High Performance Computing (HPC) and Research Data Storage (RDS) services.Role Responsibilities

  • Mange the technical development and maintenance of the HPC, RDS and related systems and services.
  • Assist in the management of the NI-HPC RSE technical team.
  • Manage the Kelvin2 and Tier2 services for researchers.
  • Collaborate with eh Network, Security and Active Directory teams
Role Requirements
  • Hold minimum of a degree or MSc (or equivalent qualification) in a Science or closely related relevant discipline (e.g. Engineering or Medicine)
  • Experience in a large-scale computing environment.
  • Experience working with one Linux.
  • History of team management
  • Knowledge of Big Data and/or A.I.
  • Experience supporting HPC clusters (High Performance Computing)

  • 2-year fixed term
  • Full Time
  • Hybrid Working-must attend office 2 times a week.
  • Belfast based.
  • £46,000-£57,000 per annum
