REED are delighted to support our client who are seeking a Contract H&S Manager for a prestigious manufacturing FM contract in Northern IrelandThe Contract H&S Manager will be responsible for managing H&S of onsite staff and subcontracted works covering mechanical, electrical, building maintenance as well as cleaning and security services. The successful candidate will provide expert advice tothe onsite team, contractors, and customers to ensure first class safety management. This role will be primarily based in Belfast however flexibility is required to meet role requirements.Key Responsibilities Responsible for managing and delivering workplace health and safety policies and procedures across multiple sites in the greater Belfast areas. Engage across multiple stakeholders and the Site Management Team to drive a positive safety culture. Manage, develop and maintain site-based H&S Management systems (ISO 45001) and represent the organization and customer as required for H&S audits. Develop creative and innovative solutions and interventions, to support the drive for proactive safety management working closely with colleagues to ensure consistency across sites. Oversee the delivery of health & safety training including for example manual handling, first aid, fire warden and H&S leadership training for contract staff. Develop and support a suitable training programme for site personnel based upon the key hazards identified working on the Clients site including Emergency preparedness, toolbox talks. Training may be both internal or externally provided. Develop and implement a robust audit and inspection programme for all activities within the scope of works of the contract, covering the in-house team and contractor base. Ensure that all services are delivered in compliance with all relevant H&S legislation, client H&S requirements, ensuring the site can evidence compliance with same. Ensure that all company H&S policies and procedures are effectively implemented across the contract. Lead and guide the team in the investigation of all Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) incidents or accidents and ensure the required records are completed and stored. Ensure lessons learned are captured, communicated and the H&S management system updated as required. Manage site RIDDOR reports in line with regulations. Manage chemical safety onsite including maintaining an approved chemical database (HAZMAT) for all in house team and contractors chemicals. Assist the Client in any incident reporting requirements including input into relevant problem-solving sheets or technical investigative reports to determine root cause analysis & implement corrective actions. Identify and drive continual improvements in safety performance across the contract.Essential Skills & Experience. NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent NEBOSH Construction Certificate 5+ years experience in hard FM management Experience in delivering CDM projects Experienced of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Valid UK Driving LicenceDesirable. Working towards NEBOSH Diploma Degree level qualification in safety Salary £40K£45K
