Job Description

Are you an engineer or fitter looking for a new role Do you have experience in call outs and belting materials and looking for a positions that offers over time.We are currently recruiting for a Belt Fitter for our clients new Service Centre based in Dunmurry, the start date for this role is January 2022. The successful candidate will be based locally to the Dunmurry Service Centre.You will visit customers, make up belts to exacting specifications and install them on-site. The 24/7 customer commitment means you will be required to operate outside normal working patterns and hours including weekends. Overtime and non standard hours will be paid accordingly - competitive rates apply..This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a career within engineering. Applicants must have some experience of using hand tools (drills, saws ect). Full training will be providedLocation IrelandJob Type:PermanentStart Date: January 2022Hours: The core hours for the position are Monday to Friday, 8am4:30pm. There is also a rota in place and you would be required to be on call which requires being called out at any time, 24/7 and Overtime is paid for this outsideof your hours.Salary:The Basic Salary for the position is£24,000 based on a 40 hour week with Rota Allowance and Overtime call outs.Main Duties:

  • Fabricatingbeltingmaterials within a workshop environment
  • Attending customer sites to fit and repair a range of belting (Reactive &proactive/Breakdown & PPM)
  • Ensuring all relevant paper work is completed
  • Providing excellent customer service to customers
Person specification:
  • Due to the on call element of the role, applicants must live within 30 minutes of location and behighly flexiblein the hours they are willing to work
  • Must have a full UK driving licence with less than 6 points
  • Must be able to undertake aphysically demandingrole
  • Must be prepared to travel to other parts of the country
  • Must be Health & Safety conscious (local training will be given)
  • Must be Flexible to work out of hours (Service Rota that includes Weekends)
