Job Description

Join us as a Financial Crime Upstream Risk and Innovation Manager

  • If you have financial crime knowledge and experience with a focus on innovation and upstream risk, wed like to hear from you
  • Youll be helping to define and deliver our financial crime specialist framework for Upstream Risk, Innovation and mergers, acquisitions, disposals and investments (MADIs)
  • Youll benefit from excellent exposure in this role and the opportunity to develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external senior stakeholders
What youll doYoull be providing key support in defining, maintaining and delivering the financial crime specialist framework for Upstream Risk, Innovation and MADIs. Youll also support the adoption of new technology, including coordinating technical specialists view onthese issues, to help the bank in its ongoing compliance with the relevant appetite, as well as laws and regulations. Other key aspects of your role will involve:
  • Assisting with tracking the relevant MI and reporting on Innovation and MADIs and Upstream Risk to support the policy areas understand the impact on the control framework
  • Supporting the engagement with the relevant oversight teams to set the minimum requirements for the technical specialist engagement on Innovation and MADIs
  • Helping to coordinate the technical specialist areas on relevant matters and supporting the engagement with relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Delivering briefing papers on cross financial crime matters in relation to industry enforcement actions, negative bank media or CEO letters, highlighting and tracking the key impacts to the bank
  • Providing support in defining, coordinating and delivering a financial crime Upstream risk communications strategy
The skills youll needWere looking for someone with financial crime knowledge, technical skills and experience with a focus on innovation, MADIs and upstream risk. Youll also demonstrate good commercial awareness, industry knowledge and risk management principles. On top of this, youll bring:
  • Knowledge and experience of defining controls and risk management frameworks
  • Good stakeholder management, influencing and presenting skills, with both internal and external stakeholders
  • The ability to convey complex concepts, risks and issues in a clear and concise manner to diverse audiences
