This is a challenging role in a fast-paced environment, where the candidate will be required to help the organization to deliver stable, useable environments deployed globally and in continuous use across CCB Technology . The role of the team will allow thecandidate to develop their business and technical skills and in addition gain exposure to multiple applications that are at the forefront of business and technical change in CCB . Our team work in partnership with other SMEs based across APAC/EMEA/NAM onmulti-year programmes driven by product development, business and operational efficiency. Role / Position Overview

• The SRE/ Environment Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s).
• In this role, you will be leading the development of innovative solutions to design and maintain the application environments needed for end-to-end testing.
• Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across product, operations, technology and client representatives to enable end-to-end test execution across a wide system set.
• You will be contributing to standards around which others will operate.
• Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function.
• Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.
• Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designs and implements new test environments that meet business requirements to deliver value by enabling rapid innovation through modern software development and product delivery across geographic locations.
• Performs actions related to environment booking by identifying green zones, downtimes, and collaborating with application development to ensure no code contention.
• Identifies opportunities to fine-tune and optimize IT test environments using leading edge technologies to solve complex business problems, striving for continuous improvements and streamlining of processes.
• Monitors and maintains end-to-end test environment connectivity, environment health through tools and creates/executes automated health-checks.
• Reviews test plans for feasibility and soundness based on environment availability.

Ad-Hoc

• Application release and patching
• Environment checks and Status Reports
• System stability ensuring environments are fully functional
• Handling stakeholder queries in an efficient and timely manner
• Communicating with and managing Stakeholders regarding system downtime
• Maintaining End to End connectivity
• Managing customer expectations
• Building New / changing existing environments
• Liaising with 3rd Parties

Tech Stack

• Understanding of Internal & External Network Connectivity - (Gateways, Firewall & Routers)
• Relational database concepts and knowledge in SQL
• RedHat O/S Admin Experience via command line
• MS Wintel Server
• Virtualisation / Cloud Technologies
• Infrastructure decommissioning / builds
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Unix scripting
• Configuring and maintaining environment monitoring tools (ITRS advantage)
• Use of ticket logging system - Service Now / Jira / Confluence

Qualifications:

• ITIL
• Sound knowledge of server infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud computing
• Experience with source control management systems and CI/CD environments
• Experience controlling testing environments and configuration management
• Possess a wealth of experience in environment management, ideally leading large scale transformations
• Experience Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Proven stakeholder engagement and management capability, with demonstrable experience in communication and diplomacy skills and an ability to persuade and influence

Qualifications:

• Proven relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
• Experience as Applications Development Manager
• Experience as senior level in an Applications Development role
• Stakeholder and people management experience
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Proven project management skills
• Basic knowledge of industry practices and standards
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

• Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Masters degree preferred
