Job Description

RSR Police, part of the Red Snapper Group is a trusted recruitment partner to UK policing and Law Enforcement Agencies. We recruit job profession from all sectors to provide organisation the talent to deliver effective and efficient policing.The National Crime Agency (NCA), a national law enforcement agency has an opportunity available for Disclosure Officers to work on a 12 month agency assignment based in Sheffield, Warrington and Belfast.As the Disclosure Officer, you will contribute to the acquisition and development of tactical and strategic intelligence through targeted research, open source searches, behavioural, analytical, comparative studies and/or prevention initiatives focused on serious and organised crime affecting the UK.This Disclosure Officer position is £16.35 per hour plus agency benefits.Responsibilities as the Disclosure Officer include:

  • Provide advice on legislation, policy, research and tactical options to assist in the planning and implementation of investigations, operations and prevention initiatives
  • Conduct initial assessments to evaluate the abilities and needs of victims/witnesses, and decide on the use of intermediaries during the investigation / interview process
  • Provide tactical and strategic support to the Agency by conducting research, gathering and analysing intelligence and evidence in accordance with legislation and policy
  • Develop target profiles, evidential products and identify prevention opportunities
  • Conduct statistical analysis to inform management reports
  • Ensure the quality, secure handling and dissemination of intelligence, maintaining confidentiality, sensitivity and a duty of care in line with Agency policy
  • Carry out effective case management, and create, maintain and update departmental records, including operational or project/programme spreadsheets, case files and monthly reports
  • Conduct cross match searches, and analyse results using forensic data
  • Build good working relationships with both internal and external partners including police forces
  • Conduct relevant health and safety procedures and report issues or identified risks in accordance with health and safety legislation and Agency policy
  • Experience & Knowledge
  • PIP2 or equivalent
  • Legislative knowledge/experience around CSAE case
  • Recent experience in disclosure
  • Recent and proven experience of investigating major crime / MIR
  • Managing operational risk
  • Basic understanding of information management
  • Good understanding of UK legislation affecting Agency activity
  • Analytical/data interpretation skills
  • Experience of analysing information from a wide range of sources
