Job Description

DescriptionDescription Responsible for Level III desk side and application support, including hardware troubleshooting, support beyond break/fix, and desktop application support. Escalation point for help desk staff & desktop support. Recommends & implements dept. process improvements& automation opportunities. Principal Accountabilities:

  • Provides Level III desk side support to all CME staff, ensuring hardware incidents beyond break/fix and Level II desktop application support incidents are completed within standard SLAs.
  • Provides resource assistance for technical projects and more technically intensive incidents.
  • Serves in process of procedural documentation.
  • Responsible for software packaging and deployment, patching, and vulnerability mitigation
  • Act as a liaison between our customers and support teams
  • Ensure that customer deployed environments are secure and consistent.
  • Level 1 - 3 support of our various Citrix VDI environments
  • Upgrade and patch Citrix environment and associated components as required
  • Operate in a small, dedicated, focused global team
Skills & Software Requirements:
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows OS, proficient with Mac OSX (patching, configuration, advanced troubleshooting)
  • Strong understanding of network fundamentals (routers, switches, firewalls, load-balancers)
  • Scripting skills in one or more of the following: Powershell, Python, Bash
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve under pressure
  • Self-motivated with a desire to contribute to a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Netscaler expertise with Access Gateway
  • Experience with configuration management and automation tools (Chef, SCCM etc).
  • Expert knowledge of PVS, UPM, WEM and App layering
  • Storage experience
  • Knowledge of service-oriented architectures and deployment
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
  • Experience with network monitoring tools such as Splunk, vROPs, Citrix Director, Citrix MAS, Solarwinds
