With over 80 years of success, the company sells, rents and provides parts and services for equipment and engineers to customers in various industries.The organisation is active in the electric power sector and supplies critical standby power systems to customers, including global blue chip organisations within the data centre industry. As such, they offer excellent training in line with your needs, a great work environment and strong progression prospects.The RoleAs a Consultant Engineer, you will provide a high level of technical expertise into the development of complex engineering bids. You will ensure designs developed are commercially viable, can be delivered within the agreed time frames and are fit for purpose.Working with Sales and the Bid Team, you will provide engineering input into the development of bids, whilst alongside the Procurement and Supply Chain Teams you will develop specifications to satisfy customer requirements.You will also provide Programme Management and the Planning function with proposed plans and schedules to enable them to devise a deliverable project schedule for the proposed project.Additionally, you will:- Liaise with customer and suppliers to meet their requirements- Attend relevant bid preparation meetings- Lead the bid engineer cluster (GB/ROI-NI)About YouTo be considered as a Consultant Engineer, you will need:- Substantial experience in delivering complex projects across a range of businesses- Previous Energy / Oil & Gas / Industrial market experience- A degree in a relevant engineering discipline or HNC/HND- Knowledge of CDM / site safety legislation / methodologies- Commercial acumen and financial skills- Experience of developing and facilitating tender documents- Experience of leading complex project programmes with customers and end users- To be competent with Microsoft project and related programmesA knowledge of gas and diesel feed and control systems and legislation is desirable.Other organisations may call this role Project Engineer, or Engineer.Webrecruit Ireland and our clients are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.
