Summary Were looking for a Communications & Marketing Officer to join our fantastic team here at the Belfast Properties. Ifyourre enthusiastic about sharing stories and creating great content wed love to hear from you.Interview date: 21st July What its like to work here This role is based in Rowallane Garden in Saintfield, just a short drive away from Belfast city centre.Spanning 52 acres and surrounded by a further 140 acres of farmland, it is home to rare and exotic planting which creates a sense of discovery and adventurearound every corner.In every way, it’s a time of real growth at Rowallane Garden and we now welcome over 140,000 visitors each year.We have exciting plans to develop our visitor offer further and you will be at the forefront of that work, communicating andbringing to life for a range of audiences all the many reasons to visit, support and get involved.Our Communications & Marketing Officer will in addition work across the Belfast Portfolio, supporting our work in our diverse range of exceptional places that are rich in nature, beauty and history. From the wild Divis and the Black Mountain, to beautifulwoodland like Minnowburn and Cregagh Glen, and from the industrial Patterson’s Spade mill in Templepatrick to the stunning coastline of Portmuck, the National Trust takes care of and provides access to places that provide respite, relaxation and enjoymentfor the people of Belfast and beyond. It’s a varied job and genuinely, no two days will be the same. What youll be doing Day to day you will develop and deliver our marketing and communications plan to help achieve our ambitious targets and reach out to new and existing audiences. This will include supporting with advertising activities and creating promotional materials andcontent across all media platforms, with a clear focus on great content for our websites and socials media channels.Were looking for someone who can help us reach new and more diverse audiences alongside partnership building with our local communities and stakeholders. Youll have the confidence, communication skills and curiosity to proactively connect with a wide rangeof colleagues to learn whats going on all around the portfolio. Youll work as part of a team to make sure that were sharing the best stories we can. Youll drive marketing campaigns to attract visitors to our places and spaces, spread the word about placesto visit in the great outdoors and raise awareness of our core messages and conservation work.Working in partnership with external organisations will be important aligning messaging between partners where appropriate. Internal communications will also be part of your role, making sure staff and volunteers with the portfolio feel connected and engagedwith what is happening on the ground at the different locations.It is expected that youll spend most of your time at Rowallane Garden where you will play your part with Duty Management as weekend, bank holiday and evening working my be required.
