Job Description

Ireland, Ireland and GBEquiniti ICS need to expand their business development team, with the successful candidate being tasked with taking to market our web enabled case management product, EQ Cube, and a growing range of products built using it as the core of the solution. Therole will be jointly responsible for winning new business predominantly from public sector clients and supporting origination through collaboration with existing clients.The ideal candidate will personally identify, develop and close mid- to high-value opportunities.They must be comfortable working with client and Equiniti executives, as well as originating opportunities and making meetings. They must take personal responsibility for the development of their accounts and have the ability to spot new business opportunities.To be successful in this role the BDM must develop a comprehensive understanding of EQs product and service capabilities. This understanding will enable them to communicate the benefits of our services and focus on how we can address specific client needs.They must be able to quickly identify senior decision makers and accelerate the buying process by facilitating conversations at the correct level.Role location will be flexible between home-based and office based (currently 205 Airport Road West, Belfast).Regular client visits, post-COVID, are anticipated and whilst this will mostly consist of clients in Northern Ireland / Republic of Ireland, travel to other parts of the UK may be necessary.Core Duties/Responsibilities

  • Identifying new prospects and driving meaningful activity to help generate new business.
  • Managing a portfolio of public sector clients. Identifying additional services that can be provided to these clients.
  • Responding to and resolving client issues.
  • Assist with the development of the suite of services that we offer to our clients.
  • Qualifying and responding to tenders and framework opportunities.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of industry issues and activities that have an impact on our existing and future clients.
  • Working closely with our commercial team to craft compelling proposals and also with the delivery team to ensure timely delivery of clients requirements and a high quality service.
  • Building strong internal stakeholder relationships, encouraging collaboration and team work across Equiniti businesses.
Skills, Capabilities and Attributes
  • Experience of Public Sector marketplace and procurement methodologies.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship building and influencing skills.
  • Effective stakeholder management and network planning.
  • Excellent communication (both written and oral) and presentation skills.
  • Commercially astute with good negotiation skills.
  • Additional experience in case management and business process management systems would also be advantageous to the role
