Function Overview: Citi Belfast are seeking a highly motivated IT professional to join our Production Services Support group in Belfast. The Prime Finance support group provides technical and business support for Citis Prime Finance Application stack, encompassing Agency Lending, Securities Lending and Prime brokerage business streams. The applications are business critical, providing tradecapture and maintenance for Trading, Sales, Middle Office and Operations. Role Overview: We are searching for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person who will drive front line support functions as part of the Prime Finance Support team. We work in partnership with the business running the production platform, providing quick resolutions to theirissues, drive stability, efficiency and effectiveness improvements to help us and the business succeed. The role will entail working closely with business partners, developing application knowledge, driving and tracking projects around stability and service improvement, incident resolution and follow-up activities and providing strategic technical solutions.You will develop detailed knowledge of the Prime Business. You will be working closely with your counterparts in India, UK, Hong Kong, US and Canada operating in a follow-the-sun global model, along with application developers and business analysts in the team. Responsibilities:

  • Own; Provide L1/L2 support for mission-critical Prime Finance applications.
  • Work closely with the development, QA and business support teams, and the Prime Finance business to determine strategy & priorities and to ensure that the team is meeting the business requirements. Ensure team delivers on these priorities and communicatedprogress effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Provide technical application support, monitoring the applications and technical platform, managing batch jobs, answer queries via phone, e-mail and other communication mediums.
  • This group provides the detailed knowledge of the applications and the upstream and downstream dependencies. For example, they should be able to understand the application processes, database schema as an expert, but would not typically being be expectedto read and understand the application code.
  • Perform appropriate problem solving tasks before passing to another team with previously agreed upon format, logs, etc.
  • When dealing with major issues, the group would be expected to make key technical recommendations based on their knowledge of the systems and the process flows involved.
  • Follow through to ensure each problem is resolved according to SLA.
  • Effectively communicate issues and status updates with business support, regional colleagues, and development teams.
  • Create and maintain knowledge base to ensure that knowledge transfer takes place within the team . Liaise with Business support teams and Application development groups.

  • Experience using call/ticketing software

  • 4 - 6 years of experience
  • Database
  • Good SQL experience in any of the RDBMS.
  • Scheduler
  • Autosys / CONTROL-M or other schedulers will be of added advantage.
  • Programming Languages
  • UNIX shell scripting, Python / PERL will be of added advantage.
  • Microsoft
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems
  • Experience using/troubleshooting Office with emphasis on Word, Excel.
