Job Description

We are seeking a passionate SRE to join our dynamic team and help ensure the reliability and performanceof our Markets trading applications. These systems that must achieve a unique blend of ultra-low latency performance and the capacity to seamlessly facilitate the busiest trading days in the world economy. The successful joiner must be able to solve problems creatively, communicate effectively,and work both independently and collaboratively. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior SREs and product development teams to monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot our Markets trading platform.
  • Collaborate with product teams to continuously improve observability of our applications enabling data-driven business decisions and faster issue detection and incident resolution.
  • Support the migration of markets applications to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring a seamless transition.
  • Assist in automating tasks to enhance system scalability and reliability.
  • Contribute to incident response and on-call rotation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and efficiency.
Skills:
  • Experience with Linux-based systems.
  • Experience with Cloud-based platform(s).
  • Basic programming/scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced trading environment.
Desirable
  • Exposure to working with metrics & monitoring, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
  • Experience and knowledge of working with distributed systems and working with Docker & Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, GCE, and/or GKE.
  • Basic knowledge of networking (HTTP/TCP/UDP/IP).
  • Experience in Financial markets.
  • Experience with REST services and message-oriented middleware.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
