The Estate Facilities Manager (EFM) is a key, high profile and challenging role and will provide a sense of achievment in delivering effective hard and soft facility management within the DIO Scotland South West. The role is based out of Service Delivery Area (SDA) 4 at DIO Building 174, Defence Munitions, Beith.Job descriptionThis exciting vacancy will enable the Estates Facilities Manager at DIO to be responsible for supporting the Senior Estate Facilities Manager (SEFM) in the engagement and stakeholder management of establishments and their customer representatives under your area of responsibility. You will work in collaboration with the Industry Partner and other agencies to deliver key tasks including Critical Infrastructure Delivery Programme (CIDP), Safe & Legal programmed works, Additional Work Services (AWS), carry out assurance checks on hard and soft tasks. You will ensure that the Industry Partner (IP) is delivering the correct level of service against agreed indicators and enabling issue resolution to ensure that site based delivery issues are resolved to maintain operational outputs against agreed requirements. Post LocationsThe post is office based at the DIO Building 174 Defence Munitions Beith, although the post will require regular travel across the Delivery Area within your working week therefore a full UK driving Licence will be required.Responsibilities• Provide advice and support for the management and mitigation of risk to Heads of Establishment (HOE) where Statutory and Mandatory compliance of assets is not possible. • Assurance of both hard and soft delivery for a multiplicity of tasks with particular focus on statutory compliance including Legionella, Asbestos and CDM. • Effective management of additional works service tasks and including delivery of the Top Level Budget(TLB) Command Infrastructure Delivery Plan (CIDP) and contract amendments. • Collation and reporting of had and soft facilities management data. • Maintaining key stakeholder engagement with both Industry Partner and customer representatives. • Effective and timely issue management. • Supporting Senior Estate Facilities Manager at all site-specific infrastructure meetings with Industry Partners, customers and TLB representatives. Travel RequirementsThe post holder will be required to travel to the sites covered by this post on a regular basis. Since the sites to be visited are remote and not directly accessible from Beith via public transport, a full UK driving licence will be essential. Permanent pool cars are available for the team to utilise when visiting their sites. The team delivers total facilities management across 7 locations from Glen Douglas, to Glasgow to DM Longtown which cover a mixture of Defence Munitions, Navy, Air and Army sites.
