Job Description

Job Title: Production Operative Location: Blackwood Salary: £22,500 per annumHours: Full time. Days regularHere at The Recruitment Co im currently recruiting a Production Operative to work for a company based in Blackwood.Perform entry level tasks associated with the repair/overhaul of aircraft components and support special projects and duties as required by Operations management.Main Job Roles

Performs tasks associated with the surface preparation and wash of aircraft components eg, Blast (Small and Large), Aluminum Oxide Blasting
Perform functions associated with the daily cleaning maintenance of the equipment used to allow for safe operations of the machinery involved.
Masking and Demasking of components supporting the production areas
Removal of ablative coatings and sealants using plastic scrapers during disassembly
Supporting disassembly tasks with supervision
Loading, unloading and monitoring other equipment as required by Operations eg. Autoclave, oven, tooling and customer components
Provide support for other Operations duties eg, movement of components, use of crane for loading and unloading, routine stock checks, mutilation of scrap items.
Must be flexible in response to business requirement and needs, beyond its contractual hours if and when necessary.

Required Experience

Possess a mechanical aptitude.
Must be able to follow written working instructions and have basic computer skills.
Accurate completion of all documentation is essential.
Must be able to work independently
Basic knowledge of hand tools (i.e., drill motors, die grinders, rivet guns, fastener installation tools, etc.) is desirable
