DC Personnel are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Technician for our client a well-established engineering business who manufacture and supply components to the automotive and mechanical industry nationwide. The Role You will be performing checks on machinery and equipment to ensure maximum uptime. You will be able to diagnose and fix using your mechanical knowledge. With a number of CNC machine tools on site, including Doosans, Mori seiks, CMZ’s & Hitech all of which are all turning and milling CNC machines so knowledge of CNC controls and maintaining CNC machinery is required to be able to safely isolate and fix any issues. Youll have excellent pneumatics and hydraulics knowledge, and great problem solving and diagnostic skills. Youll also be keeping all our employees and visitors safe with the inspection of safety critical equipment, so excellent attention to detail and record-keeping is essential.Responsibilities :• To carry out general mechanical repairs• To carry out general maintenance work.• Experience of being responsible for quality is key, alongside knowledge of Health and Safety within the manufacturing industry. • To ensure a safe working environment in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations.• To attend fire drills and staff meetings.• To recognize and promote the Equal Opportunities Policy Code of Practice and the Departmental Racial Equality Policy Statement.Salary & Working Hours Up to £30,000 per annum. Temporary to permanent contract.14:00-22:00 Monday-Friday. Overtime paid at premium rates after 37.5 hours.Requirements With substantial relevant experience in a comparable role you will hold a relevant current trade qualification. City & Guilds Qualified or similar is essential.Flexibility to work different hours/overtime if required.Excellent problem solving and diagnostic skills CNC machine tool maintenance experience A team-player but also works with minimal supervision. Willing to actively participate in meetings, training, planning, initiatives etc. Must be able to clearly and concisely communicate by verbal and written skill communication.
