About the RoleWe have an exciting and rare opportunity for an Account Manager to join our thriving team in our newly merged Beaminster or Sherborne office.As an Account Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving business growth by identifying sales opportunities within the farming community, building strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, and delivering tailored insurance solutionsto meet their needs. You’ll be responsible for promoting and selling our suite of insurance products and services within our local community, cultivating leads, and achieving sales targets while also managing our existing portfolio of farming customers.At the core of our approach lies the cultivation of strong relationships and the practice of cross-selling to ensure our customers receive tailored services that align perfectly with their needs. This commitment is reflected in our exceptional customer retentionrate, with over 90% of customers choosing to renew their insurance with us annually. As part of our team, youll have a remarkable opportunity to capitalise on existing relationships and deliver exceptional service to our customers.Working collaboratively with our current team across both sites, youll not only generate new leads but also navigate through our existing pipeline, engage with the local community through networking activities, and handle all inbound inquiries. These effortsare geared towards expanding our farming book of business and achieving our growth objectives.To enable you to support all our customers, we provide a supportive on-going learning environment. All training takes place in our on-site facilities at either the Beaminster or Sherborne agency. Together with your team, your training will include a mixtureof classroom- based and hands-on learning.This role is subject to the requirements of the Insurance Distribution Directive. Role holders will be required to evidence ongoing relevant continuous professional development, along with re-screening to evidence that Good Repute standards are maintained.Further information can be found in the FCA Handbook.About YouHighly motivated with a positive, can-do attitude, you use your face-to-face sales experience to consistently achieve sales targets. Committed to learning and development and ready for the challenge of being part of a new team, you’ll thrive in this fast-pacedworking environment. To apply for this role you must have:
  • Experience working within Insurance (ideally within Commercial or Farm Insurance)
  • Experience of working in a face-to-face sales environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Self-motivation, with the ability to work autonomously whilst being proactive and demonstrate initiative
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to navigate difficult conversations and achieve positive outcomes
  • Full UK Drivers license with access to your own vehicle
