Job Description

Providing a key function to the successful completion of our projects, you will take responsibility for the quoting, procurement and expediting of all aspects relating to the supply of the FF&E and any architectural finishes which form part of our high-endluxury schemes.This process will culminate in you ensuring that all items are on site, having been quality assured, in readiness for installation day.Your role will involve nurturing relationships with both vendors and clients, ensuring that any difficultissues are resolved with tactfulness and good grace whilst also presenting yourself with thoughtful leadership helping to achieve a positive outcome.Harnessing good relationships with our suppliers through a team spirited sense of community you will have the confidence to negotiate purchasing terms which enhance our profitability.As the design journey unfolds you will be required to support the project lead designer to develop specifications, finishes, obtaining quantities [following site surveys undertaken by others], checking all associated costs, import duties, deliveries, handlingand insurance fees.You will be required to demonstrate your understanding of supply chain processes including an awareness of lead times and critical global issues which may affect affecting supply and demand.Producing a schedule of purchasing priorities to ensure that thecoordination of client invoicing and related purchasing happens in a hierarchical way relating to project programmes, budgets and deadlines.Where third party tendering processes are required you will be familiar in seeking and evaluating tenders.Using the estimac system, you will be responsible for ensuring that all specifications are accurate, working as a conduit between the project designer and the accounts administrator, you will raise purchase orders in line with funds received from clients,ensuring that project deadlines are met and all moving parts are coordinated.You will be familiar with purchasing and recognise the importance of budget management for our clients whilst also improving opportunities for profitability for the company whenever possible.You will take responsibility for progressing all orders, managing inventories, inspecting small items of FF&E which are received into our studio, and liaising with off site handlers of storage solutions for larger items.Once the deliveries have been received, and the project is ready to be installed you will co-ordinate the deliveries to site, developing a delivery schedule for both the design team and the site team and/or client.Ensuring that the quality of our installations remains a high priority you will be persistent in your endeavour to minimise any issues arising post installation by undertaking thorough snagging process including manufacturing or factory visits for itemsmade bespoke for our clients.
