Job Description

Blackstone Recruitment are looking for an experienced Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join a small private SEN School in South West London.This is a permanent full time job (to work term time only)About the JobTo work within the special needs team in order to provide Speech and Language support to the students in the School. This will include assessing and reviewing needs, as well as implementing, evaluating and delivering programmes and regular therapy as well as advice, support and training to students and staff. These objectives will be met through one to one, paired, group and whole class intervention. The role also includes teaching regular social skills classes to small groups of students.Job Specifics:

  • HCPC registered as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Salary ranges from £34,000 - £37,000 (depending on experience)
  • Term time only
  • Experience working in paediatrics / school settings
  • Desirable AbilityTo perform WRAT assessmentsAdditional SEN qualifications/specialisms e.g. dyslexia specialistResponsibilities of the role:Providing speech and language services to students, families and staff.• Providing program planning, intervention, monitoring strategies for students with mild to moderate special needs.• Providing 1:1 and class therapy sessions to students between 9-19 years old.• Working as a member of a multidisciplinary learning service support team.• Contributing to capacity building of school communities to improve access, participation and achievement of students.• Providing annual speech and language assessments to all students.• Providing language, speech, social skills therapy to students.• Providing literacy programs to students with dyslexia and literacy difficulties.• Providing travel training.• Providing social skills classes to all students.For more information on this role or to receive a job description please contact Ella Wratten at Blackstone Recruitment on the details providedAPPLY today if you are available for this role!Blackstone Recruitment Ltd. is a workforce solutions provider to both public and private sector clients within health & social care.
