Technical Support Engineer£32-33kBath LocationIf you an engineer or technician with experience working in a mechanical manufacturing, assembly and test environment then this could be ideal for you.The company design and develop high reliability products for the defence sector so this could suit someone with a background in similar industries such as defence, aerospace, rail, automotive or oil and gas industries.As a technical support engineer you will be apart of a team that work with engineering and manufacturing teams to support new product introduction and define manufacturing and assembly processes.This is an interesting and varied role where you will have the chance to work with a number of different teams and departments and play a key role in developing and bring new products into production.This could suit someone with experience in a mechanical manufacturing environment or perhaps someone with a technician background who is looking to take a step up into a more varied role.Key parts of the job will involve.Supporting with new product introductionProducing assembly and testing documents and instructionsEnsuring quality requirements are met.Supporting continuous improvement activitiesTest of components and systemsSupport quality team with APQP and 8D investigationsSkills and ExperienceExperience in low volume mechanical manufacturing including assembly and test experience.Relevant engineering qualificationsExperience of working on development engineering programsSome knowledge of hydraulic components and assembliesKnowledge and understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.For full details on this exciting role please apply online and one of the team at Reed will be in touch.
