Job Description

Weve partnered with a prestigious education institute in the South-West who are looking for .Net developers to join their team.This is a highly remote role with one trip a month to the office in Bath for key meetings. The organisation offers loads of flexibility and fantastic work-life balance, with unparalleled annual leave allowance.What youll be doingReporting to the Development Manager and alongside a team of 5 developers, youll work with the Microsoft stack to write and implement highly efficient and well tested code across their platform, ensuring ultra-slick and optimal UX. Youll be responsible formaintaining and enhancing their existing systems as well as building API integrations with other platforms across the organisation.Working in a fully Agile environment, youll be involved in upgrading their code base to .Net 6 as well as migrating their UIs across to Blazer. Theyre working towards an Azure microservices architecture and implementing some DevOps tooling and practices,so this role offers ample scope for technical growth and progression.Youll be comfortable liaising with stakeholders across the wider IT Services team and working collaboratively, contributing ideas as well as supporting more junior developers. This organisation wholeheartedly support the training and progression of their team,setting aside half a day each week for R&D. Youll have a subscription to Pluralsight enabling to onboard new skills.What skills were looking for
  • Professional development experience with the Microsoft stack.
  • Proficient in .Net Framework.
  • Awareness of design patterns (MVC).
  • Knowledge of database and data access frameworks (ie, SQL, Entity Framework).
  • Good knowledge of UX and UI.
  • Ability to test your own code.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiar with Agile practices.
Desirable but not essential:
  • Understanding of software development Modelling languages, such as UML.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tooling and practices (Docker, Continuous integration).
  • Awareness of Azure functions.
