Job Description

Role: Senior Sales Development RepThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SDR to join one of Microsoft’ leading, and fasted growing, UK partners.Our client is successfully doubling their cloud business year-on-year and are now looking for a Senior Sales Development Rep to join the team to support the growth. This is a great opportunity for someone to learn more about Microsoft Cloud technology andhow it can help mid-sized and large businesses.PurposeThis role is all about engaging and building trust with businesses to generate sales opportunities. The role will act as a bridge between marketing and sales to build on the work marketing are doing to generate prospects. The Sales Development Reps generateand nurture leads to the point they are ready to be passed to a sales person. This will involve engaging with prospects throughout the early stages of their buying process - ensuring that the business is front of mind when they are ready to speak to a supplier.Responsibilities

  • Prospect leads from target account lists via phone, email and social
  • Research target businesses, individuals and contact information
  • Calling and social selling to cold, warm and hot leads
  • Nurture leads with regular contact and information until they are ready for a sales appointment
  • Book in a target number of sales appointments for the solution sales team.
  • Lead management within CRM
  • Recruit delegates to marketing events
  • Develop and maintain relationship with Microsoft sales teams to encourage lead sharing
  • Attend marketing events
Essential skills required
  • Experience in an IT and/or complex, consultative-sales environment is essential
  • Proven record of generating leads and opportunities from mid-market and enterprise businesses
  • Ability to build a rapport with prospects
  • Confidence in contacting prospects on phone and social media
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Interest in business and the challenges and opportunities faced by businesses
  • Working in a targeted environment
  • Ambitious and determined
