Job Description

About the Company Goughs is widely recognised as one of the leading law firms in Wiltshire and we are committed to delivering success for our clients and the firm alike. Specialising inCommercial Law, Conveyancing, Employment Law, Family Law, Personal Injury & Medical Negligence,Wills, Trusts & Probate, Litigation & Disputes, Commercial Property, Corporate Services, Real Estate, Land & Development, Schools, Academies & Colleges, and Notary Services.The position reports directly to the Head of Marketing. This is a new role and has been introduced to support the marketing function of the firm which has seen considerable growth over the past few years. The firm has ambitious plans which cannot be fulfilledwithout the support of an excellent marketing team. This role therefore provides an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for a step up from a marketing administrate role and wants to grow and learn as a marketing professional.Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience in gathering data from a number of different sources and accurately using the data to create informative reports.
  • Copywriting to include at least some of the following medium, online articles, press releases, social media copy, newspaper and magazine adverts and editorial.
  • Creating social media copy with accompanying and appropriate imagery, graphics or video content.
  • Website updates, ideally with specific experience of WordPress sites.
  • Experience of using software such as Microsoft office, canva, social media scheduling tools and CRM systems.
  • Experience of working with external designers to ensure briefs are succinct yet contain enough detail to deliver a project on time with no unnecessary or additional expense.
  • Working with an online email tool to create emails for the purpose of achieving enquiries and the relevant updating of databases. Knowledge of GDPR.
Principal Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating the day to day marketing activities of the firm to ensure all pre-arranged activities are executed in a timely fashion.
  • Contributing to new and additional marketing campaigns as required. Ensuring these are and executed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Closely monitoring competitor activities to ensure Goughs consistently stand out from the crowd. Where appropriate, using this information to inform, drive and amend campaigns.
  • To ensure the Goughs website is well-maintained and updated, to include, but not limited to, staff profiles, blog articles, campaign messages, imagery, homepage updates, news and features and awards and accreditations.
  • To attend department and sector meetings to present the latest marketing findings from analytics and requesting further information from the teams as required.
  • To take responsibility for the administrative tasks that sit within other core activities.
  • To collate data for monthly and bi-monthly marketing reports. To report monthly to the Head of marketing.
  • To actively manage the administration of all client satisfaction surveys.
  • To ensure all online reviews and enquiries are responded to in a timely fashion.
  • To ensure the marketing department keep in contact with the various offices to ensure they have the stationary they need and assisting with ordering / deliveries when required.
Key Working Relationships:
  • Day to day communication with all members of the Marketing department.
  • Updates and meetings with Head of Marketing & Partner in Charge of Marketing as required
  • Open communication channels with Partner in Charge of the office where based and all heads of department and sector heads.
  • Knowledge of key people at the various marketing and networking groups we are part of to ensure lines of communication are maintained.
  • Maintaining, nurturing and growing relationships with newspaper and magazine editors, representatives from the radio, designers and any other key contacts outside of Goughs Solicitors.

Please note: The role may require travel within Wiltshire and between the firms seven offices, therefore it is essential the applicant posses their own transport. Mileage will be payable at £0.45p per mile over and above the successfulapplicants normal journey to and from work.
