We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated ACC qualified clinical coder to join our wonderful, friendly coding team at the RUH in Bath. The team strives to provide a timely and high quality data service for the trust. The department delivers a distinguished level of coding depth that is in the upper quartile of trusts nationally.You will be required to demonstrate a good standard of Clinical Coding coupled with a sound knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy and physiology. The ability to concentrate for extended periods of time and excellent attention to detail are essential. Excellent communication skills are important as Senior Clinical Coders are expected to support the development of junior staff members and participate in knowledge sharing practices. You must be able to work well under pressure individually and as part of a team working to tight deadlines. Good IT skills are also necessary.Full support and continuous training will be given as required to help the candidate reach their full potential. Career progression is encouraged and will be supported where possible by the Trust.
