Job Description

The School of Management at our client has an exciting opportunity for a Placements Officer to join their team.About the role:This position will form an integral part of the School of Management Placements Team, taking ownership for all aspects of undergraduate placement support, focussing on the BSc Management and the BSc Management with Marketing programmes. Students typicallyundertake a 12 month placement during their third year of the course.The role will include identifying, negotiating and organising placements primarily in the UK , involving extensive interactions with placement providers at a mid to senior management level. You will support students throughout the recruitment process. Thisincludes planning and delivering a varied and accessible professional development programme, which includes employability presentations to large groups of students, collaborating with employers, as well as providing one to one guidance.This is a permanent, full time position working 36.5 hours per week.About you:The Placement Officer continues to act as a key contact for all parties throughout the duration of the placement itself, through to helping students navigate the transition period back into academic life post placement. Student support and guidance is acore component of this role and experience working with young people and understanding their specific requirements is a feature of this position.This is a busy and varied role involving daily communication with a range of internal and external stakeholders often at a senior level. You will therefore need to have excellent organisational skills, demonstrate a good use of initiative and have the abilityto multi-task and prioritise.About them:The School of Management at them are considered one of the most prestigious business schools in both the UK and the world.
