Job Description

We are looking for full and part-time Paid Volunteers, Befrienders & Companions in the Bath, Bradford-on-Avon, Corsham, Chippenham, Calne, Melksham, and surrounding areas of Somerset & Wiltshire. No previous experience is required as full training is provided. It is essential that you are a car driver. Pay rate & hours

  • £10.00 per hour.
  • Paid travel, waiting time & fuel payments.
  • Pension, paid DBS & paid training.
  • Full or Part-Time hours, Guaranteed Hours available.
  • Hours include mornings, lunchtimes, evenings & alternate weekends.
    • Could you help Enid* Enid is 85 years old and has started to struggle with little things that so many of us find simple. She might struggle to follow simple steps such as following a recipe when cooking a meal, she might also repeat a lot of things she has already said or get muddled with peoples’ names. She also gets lonely from time to time as her children live so far away. Could you be the person to make a difference to EnidAs a Paid Volunteer, Befriender & Companion, you would be supporting an older adult in their own home with their daily routines. This could vary from washing, dressing (Personal Care), companionship, shopping, meal preparation, attending appointments or getting out for some fresh air. You would always be carefully matched to the person you will be supporting, and you will stay with the same clients on an ongoing basis, allowing you develop a strong bond.This is an awarding winning care company, whose owners were inspired to deliver care the right way, after experiencing poor car themselves for a family member. They feel this is a privilege to do so and enables them to help other families who have been in the same position. This organisation provides a very bespoke companionship led care service that really does benefit the people they support.
