Job Description

Network EngineerBased in BathSalary up to £40,000 + benefitsFull time, permanent roleWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced CCNA Network Engineer to join our growing IT team here at ReddeNorthgate. ReddeNorthgate was formed in early 2020 following a successful merger of Redde Group and Northgate plc to become the UK’s foremost integrated mobility solutions provider.Role OverviewThe role holder will provide BAU and project support for the Group’s networks. This includes design, configuration, performance, availability, security and maintenance tasks.Key Responsibilities

  • Hands-on support, maintenance and design of the Cisco LAN & WAN to facilitate the attainment of business system uptime and performance SLA’s with internal and external customers.
  • Technical Administration of the following core technologies and platforms (non-exhaustive list).
    • Cisco ASA FirewallsLAN R&S (Cisco)B2B VPN’s (IPsec tunnels)WAN, MPLS VPNLES (L2) linksNetwork Performance MonitoringNetwork SecurityNetwork intrusion monitoringCisco VPN (remote access service)Cisco ISECisco Works/PrimeWLANSSL VPNMeraki SD-WAN networkSPLUNK SIEM configuration
  • Ensure compliance with and assist in the development of applicable IT policies including IT Security Standards and IT Acceptable Use.
  • Build, maintain and develop good working relationships with key service providers and partners.
  • Maintain appropriate controls to prevent accidental and/or unauthorised access to company assets via the Network.
  • Assist in the delivery of business change projects & programmes when required to do so.
  • Ensure that judicious use is made of IT resources at all times.
  • Work with other technical personnel to ensure that information is effectively shared within the IT team as a whole.
  • Liaising with 3rd party IT providers to report faults and manage live tickets.
    • Person SpecificationEssential
  • Cisco CCNA or higher certification
  • Ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong technical skill set in main network technologies such as VOIP, ADSL, VN, MPLS, Switching, Routing, Firewall, VLANS, Video Conferencing & SIP.
  • Excellent technical documentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience in the design and maintenance of large enterprise networking environments that include multiple site locations
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Familiar with ITIL processes including change and incident management
    • Advanced TCP/IP NetworkingDesirable
  • Hands on experience managing Avaya Aura both moves, adds and changes and system administration.
  • Experience of VOIP telephone systems
  • Certification in Project Management
  • Knowledge of Omni channel contact centre environments
  • Experience of deploying and maintaining a PCI DSS compliant network
  • Experience deploying and maintaining ISO27001 compliant environments
  • Knowledge and Implementation/Support of an SD-WAN network
