Job Description

Band 6 IM&T OfficerOn a day-to-day basis, the Change Officer will investigate existing organisation structures, processes and policies, and gather information by utilising a variety of methods, including interviewing key stakeholders, investigating existing documentation, monitoring live operational environments and looking at the functionality and data structure of key information systems. This information will then be documented, analysed and/or modelled as appropriate.Temporary: Expected to be 6 months potentially longerLocation: BathHours per week: Monday - Friday 9am to 5pmSalary:£15.50 per hour PAYE or £20.00 per hour UMBRELLAGeneral duties:

  • Gathering information about current business structures, information flows and processes
  • Modelling functional structure, information flows and processes, using a variety of tools and techniques, including techniques using Visio, Excel.
  • Identifying problem areas in information flows, data recording & processes
  • Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and organisation suitability.
  • Creating logical and innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Drawing up specific proposals for modified or replacement systems and processes
  • Working closely with suppliers and a variety of end users to ensure success.
  • Overseeing the implementation of a new system and/or process.
  • Assisting with the following:
  • Organisation, preparation and facilitation of asis? and tobe? process workshops
  • Support major change initiatives to maximise organisation benefit, from an efficiency, operational improvement and management information perspective.
  • Translating requirements into highly specified proposals for organisation approval.
  • Presenting proposals to management, using a variety of verbal & written communication methods
  • Producing feasibility reports and business cases to support business process solutions.
  • Resolving issues by liaising extensively with personnel within the Trust and external suppliers, Department of Health, and nominated consultants.
