With a commitment to excellence and innovation, we provide tailored solutions to our clients in the construction, infrastructure, energy, and environmentalsectors.Position Overview:Parkside Recruitment are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join our client’s team. The successful candidate will play a key role in conducting site investigations, analysing soil and rock properties, and providing expert recommendationsfor a wide range of geotechnical projects. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging and diverse projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the success of our clients.Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive site investigations to assess ground conditions, including soil and rock properties, groundwater levels, and geotechnical hazards.
  • Perform geotechnical analyses and interpretation of site data to develop engineering recommendations for foundations, slopes, retaining structures, and other geotechnical features.
  • Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, including soil boring logs, laboratory test results, and engineering analyses, adhering to industry standards and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate geotechnical considerations into project designs and plans.
  • Design and oversee construction of earthworks, deep foundations, ground improvement techniques, and other geotechnical structures, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Conduct stability analyses for slopes, embankments, and excavations using appropriate software and analytical methods.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of geotechnical monitoring and instrumentation plans to evaluate ground behaviour and performance over time.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance during project planning, design, and construction phases, addressing geotechnical challenges and optimizing project outcomes.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in geotechnical engineering practices, materials, and technologies, and incorporate innovative solutions into project designs and methodologies.
  • Mentor junior staff members, provide training and guidance, and foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for licensure is required.
  • Minimum of 1 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering, including site investigation, analysis, and design.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical software tools such as gINT, GeoStudio, PLAXIS, or similar programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex geotechnical data and provide practical solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and client interaction, is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.
